Gary was a busy man this year. He tapped into the minds of
his top pro racers and translated his own long hours in the saddle to come up with a
stable of race-ready bikes and new designs. His crowning achievement of 2000 - the
introduction of a new full-suspension platform, Sugar. As expected, the Fisher line also
includes a bevy of racing hardtails for everyone from world champions to weekend warriors.
The unorthodox, yet well-received X-caliber makes a return this year with the addition of
a lower-priced kin.
Whether its Sugar, long-travel
hardtails, or racing hardtails, the heart of the Fisher line remains Genesis
Geometry. Its what separates
high-end Fisher bikes from all others. The short and stiff chainstays perpetuate efficient
climbing, a long top tube positions the center of gravity for confident descending and a
